🇪🇸 Los que hemos tenido cierta cultura andina y hemos mamado esos sonidos tan característicos nos suena tan familiar que quizás eso nos allana el camino para lo que está por venir en el nuevo disco de los peruanos Hamelin con su Folk Metal.

En lo melódico me recuerdan a los muy presentes Saurom, esas flautas me recuerdan a los tiempos mozos donde Ñu hacia las delicias e incluso hay ciertos compases donde los teclados y la composición más sinfónica recuerda al power metal escandinavo.

Con toda esta amalgama de detalles y estilos la banda se marca 9 temas y casi 40 minutos en los que dejando de lado las partes instrumentales ahonda en la música tradicional peruana de una manera elegante sin dejar de lado el Metal reivindicando la identidad mestiza y la independencia de América.

Con ciertos guiños a los Mago más esenciales nos traen un grandísimo disco que merece la pena muchísimo disfrutar.

🇬🇧 Those of us who have a connection to Andean culture and have grown up with those distinctive sounds will find them so familiar that perhaps this paves the way for what's to come on the new album from the Peruvian band Hamelin with their Folk Metal.

Meloditically, they remind me of the ever-present Saurom; those flutes evoke the early days of Ñu, and there are even certain passages where the keyboards and more symphonic composition recall Scandinavian power metal.

With this amalgamation of details and styles, the band delivers nine tracks and almost 40 minutes in which, setting aside the instrumental sections, they delve into traditional Peruvian music in an elegant way without abandoning Metal, reclaiming mestizo identity and the independence of the Americas.

With certain nods to the most essential Mago de Oz, they bring us a fantastic album that is well worth enjoying.
