🇪🇸 La verdad es que la proliferación de voces femeninas en el Hard Rock melódico nunca ha sido un gran camino pero siempre ha habido grandes bandas que dejaron sello y grandes cantantes, por supuesto, véase la magnífica Doro Pesch o yendo más allá nos encontramos con auténticas bandas excelsas como Girlschool o las mismísimas Burning Witches que están en lo alto actualmente.

Quizás la voz femenina no ha tenido la verdadera repercusión que realmente merecía, y en este caso me he encontrado con un EP de la banda finesa, @Highway Queen, cuna de grandes sonidos y voces sobre todo en el metal pero cuyo auge de la corriente del Hard Rock está aportando cantidad y calidad al panorama actual.

En este caso se presentan con un EP de 4 temas que tiene unas raíces muy ochenteras, en estructura y en desarrollo pero los adornan con grandes matices mucho más actuales, más frescos, que hacen de estos 4 temas un punto de vista atractivo y actual del concepto del Hard Rock Melódico.

Suenan con un estilo desgastado, rudo, pero dentro de una base muy clásica e incluso con la voz partiendo en dos sus estilo conformando esa parte del alma que aporta suavidad y un terciopelo agradable dentro de ese sonido de la guitarra distorsionada que tiene al sonido garage en cierta medida.

Un estupendo punto de partida de la semana, a disfrutar!!!

🇬🇧 The truth is that the proliferation of female voices in melodic hard rock has never been a great path, but there have always been great bands that left their mark and great singers, of course, see the magnificent Doro Pesch or going further we find authentic excellent bands like Girlschool or Burning Witches themselves who are at the top currently.

Perhaps the female voice has not had the true repercussion that it really deserved, and in this case I have found an EP by the Finnish band, @Highway Queen, cradle of great sounds and voices especially in metal but whose rise of the Hard Rock current is bringing quantity and quality to the current scene.

In this case they present themselves with an EP of 4 songs that has very eighties roots, in structure and development but they adorn them with great nuances much more current, fresher, which make these 4 songs an attractive and current point of view of the concept of Melodic Hard Rock.

They sound with a worn, rough style, but within a very classic base and even with the voice splitting their style in two, forming that part of the soul that provides softness and a pleasant velvet within that sound of the distorted guitar that has a garage sound to a certain extent.
